Alaska has always been home, although I am a girl who loves to travel and road trip. Living in California and Washington was fulfilling for a few years but ultimately Alaska was where I chose to return to to raise my children. For years I would drive the Al Can highway a couple times per year. I would travel from Alaska to California chasing work, from the Fish Industry to the slopes of Sierra Mts in Tahoe California.
From a young age I’ve had a respect for the healing and restorative properties of plant medicine and so I’ve worked with cannabis most of my life.
In recent years this passion had me active in the local ‘keep cannabis legal’ movement, teaming up to start the first cannabis retail store on the Kenai peninsula; which so happened to be the 4th retail to open in the state.
Together with my business partner, Amy and I started AK Canna Connection. In our first year of operation, we we were recognized in the first ‘Women in Weed’ issue of Alaskan Leaf Magazine.
It was while I was working at Red Run that I noticed major flaws with the transportation providers and decided to partner with Amy and start our own transport company! We decided to make everything that was lacking in Transportation our main focus. Also, Instabilities within the oilfield made it imperative that my family have income that’s consistent.
My husband had been laid off from work numerous times in a couple of years.
I’ve put my blood, sweat and tears into this business and into supporting the Alaskan cannabis community.
We work tirelessly to promote local growers, manufacturers, & retailers; often doing Facebook live broadcasts & giveaways to spotlight the locals who we believe bring high quality products to our communities.
AK Canna Connection works with nearly every single licensed facility in the state, and we continue to set a high standard for transportation in the state of Alaska.
I’m passionate about family, community, and quality cannabis. Everyone who knows me, knows this to be truth!
